    Description

One of the more exotic and desirable of all modern world's fair medals; I think of it as one of the modern....but there have been a lot since the Seattle fair almost 60 years ago.
The silver medal is exactly the same as the bronze and both are in the first/opening page of the high relief set of medals from the exposition. The medals are all about one ounce and very dramatically high relief and with the mid-century design. No high relief medals were struck with this design which was struck by the U.S. mint in Philadelphia as the "official space age medal" of the exposition.
It has become very difficult to find examples of the silver medal and especially so if you would like to acquire one at a reasonable price!
Please look at our other Century 21 medals including a complete set of bronze high reliefe medals on Ebay right now. We specialize in world's fair and always have a substantial number of outstanding items from our two favorite fairs, hte 1962 Seattle Century 21 Exposition and the 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition.
